Costco Clearances Fresh Source Solar Firefly Lights

September 27, 2026 — Select Costco warehouse locations have significantly marked down Fresh Source Solar Firefly Landscape Lights to clear remaining inventory. According to Slickdeals.net, these 4-set packs are currently appearing for as low as $9.99 at specific stores, though availability varies by location.

I've spent a lot of time testing these swaying garden stakes, and while a ten-dollar price tag is tempting, you need to know what you are actually getting. According to Slickdeals.net, the Fresh Source pack (Item #1938098) includes one solar panel to power four sets of lights, totaling 32 bulbs with a 2000 mAh battery.

However, it has a major practical flaw: all four light stakes are tethered to a single solar panel. This limits how far apart you can place them. If you want to line a long driveway or separate flower beds, the wiring becomes a headache. Between these two, I'd go with the Solar Firefly Lights 8-pack. The 8-pack provides 64 bulbs and gives you more flexibility for a fuller garden display without dragging wires across your lawn.

For those who just want to test the look in a small planter, the Costco Fresh Source option is fine. But for a permanent backyard lighting setup, the build quality on the individual stakes from Solar Firefly Lights tends to hold up better against wind.

Expert tip: When installing any swaying light, avoid placing them directly under heavy tree cover. Even with a 2000 mAh battery, these units require at least six hours of direct sun to maintain that "firefly" glow through the night. If your yard is mostly shade, look into rechargeable battery maintenance to keep them from dimming early.

Here's what I'd actually buy: I’d skip the single-panel Costco sets and grab the Solar Firefly Lights 8-pack. Having 64 LEDs instead of 32 makes a massive difference in how realistic the swaying effect looks from a distance. Skip this if you only have a two-foot square balcony; in that case, the smaller 4-pack is plenty. For everyone else, stick to the weather-resistant stakes that don't rely on a shared power source.
